Below is a copy of the late Sir James' petition to the Court of the Lord Lyon that was pending at the time of his death and which substantiated his rightful claim to the undifferenced coat of arms of Baird of Auchmedden and Chief of the Name Baird. A revised version of this petition is currently being developed by Sir Alexander for submittal to the Lyon Court.
